Clark County, NV – DUI Crash Takes Life of Passenger on I-15 Near N. Moapa Valley Blvd
Clark County, NV (April 18, 2019) – A woman was arrested for DUI by authorities for her role in a catastrophic single-car accident. Officials state the crash in question occurred on April 15. Officials pronounced one person dead at the scene.
The accident occurred on I-15 near the North Moapa Valley Boulevard exit, 60 miles northeast of Las Vegas. The accident was the result of the driver, identified as 47-year-old Araceli Saldana, veering drastically off the road. This caused the vehicle, a white Nissan Altima, to flip over and eject the car’s passenger, identified as 45-year-old Jose Angel Lobato-Camarena, ultimately, leading to his untimely death.
Ms. Saldana was transported to University Medical Center Trauma to be treated for minor injuries and was taken into custody.
Authorities stated that Saldana was arrested for DUI, failing to maintain a lane, and driving without a valid license. The accident marks the sixteenth vehicle-related fatality for the jurisdiction this year.
