Fernley, NV – Fatal Vehicle Rollover on I-80, Driver Identified
Fernley, NV (April 18, 2019) – The identity of a man who lost his life after a tragic vehicle rollover has been released by officials. Authorities found the victim early Wednesday morning at 6:20 a.m. on April 10, 2019.
The accident happened on Interstate 80 near the intersection of US-95. The crash happened in Churchill County, somewhere between Fernley and Lovelock.
The driver, now identified as Earl Sallee, of Winnemucca, was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck while traveling west toward Reno on I-80. Mr. Salee drifted onto the shoulder after the driver steered toward the left, causing the vehicle to fall into an embankment. The truck turned over as a result.
Mr. Sallee was transported to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, losing his life.
Authorities are still looking for witnesses who may provide more information about this accident, which is still ongoing.
