Sparks, NV – Hit-and-Run Crash Critically Injures Man On Pyramid Hwy Near Eagle Canyon
Sparks, NV (April 18, 2019) – A man who was injured in a vicious hit-and-run accident remains in a critical condition many days after the event. The crash happened on Friday, April 12, in the early hours of the morning.
The victim was stopped on the left-hand travel lane in a Honda CR-V on Pyramid Highway headed northbound around 12:30 a.m. when the crash occurred. The driver was hit in the rear by a Dodge Ram pickup truck, the driver of the which quickly fled the scene.
The Honda driver was quickly transported to a nearby hospital in order to seek treatment for severe injuries. The victim still remains in a critical condition many days after the incident.
The crash was witnessed by an off-duty officer, who claims the driver who committed the hit-and-run continued north, only to stop in a residential area that was about three miles from the scene of the accident.
The driver who committed the hit-and-run has been identified as Molly Foster. She was taken into custody by authorities for the suspicion of DUI.
The victim and suspect knew one another and were said to be in a relationship, officials say.
Authorities are seeking witnesses who can provide more information on the incident, and the accident is still currently under investigation.
