Las Vegas, NV -Joel Trujillo Jr Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Decatur Blvd
Las Vegas, NV (April 29, 2019) – The Nevada Department of Public Safety has confirmed a motorcycle accident has occurred on Decatur Blvd and Oakey Blvd in Las Vegas on April 28th. The accident took the life of one victim and left another with serious injuries.
Paramedics and officials were at the scene around 9:42 p.m.
The motorcycle had two passengers and collided with a 1998 Ford Mustang. The motorcycle, at 2007 Yamaha, was said to have been traveling north on Decatur, while the Mustang was traveling south on the same road, and the two vehicles collided with each other while turning at the intersection.
The motorcycle hit the side of the other vehicle, ejecting both passengers. The motorcycle passenger was transported to UMC Trauma for medical treatment of severe injuries.
The driver of the motorcycle, identified as 25-year-old Joseph Trujillo, Jr., was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. His passenger has not been identified at this time.
The driver of the Mustang had only minor injuries and showed no signs of impairment at the scene.
The investigation into the cause of the accident continues at this time.
