Henderson, NV- (August 24, 2019)
According to the Henderson Fire Department, a fire broke out at an apartment complex at the 2000 block of Ramrod Avenue Saturday morning.
The fire took place at approximately 1:20 a.m. according to HFC spokesperson Kathleen Richards. The two-story building was engulfed in flames and smoke when firefighters arrived. 5 engines, a truck, 5 rescue units, as well as an “air resource apparatus” were on the scene. Additionally, the Clark County Fire Department, Henderson police and a city senior fire investigator, as well as NV Energy was also at the burning complex.
A male and female were rescued from inside and transported to the hospital where they were pronounced dead. A man was taken to University Medical Center for smoke inhalation. Three digs were said to have died in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and the identities of the deceased will be released once the families are informed.
