Las Vegas, Nevada (June 18, 2019)
A 9-year old boy is in critical condition after almost drowning in an apartment complex’s pool.
The incident occurred on Saturday at around 8 p.m. in the 1200 block of West Cheyenne Avenue. NLVPD indicated that they were on the scene for a routine patrol when someone stopped them to ask for help regarding a possible drowning.
The police officers rushed to the scene and took hold of the young boy, providing CPR until the paramedics showed up. Sources have indicated that the young boy may have been submerged underwater for almost 5 minutes before anyone took note that he was in danger and possibly drowning.
There were multiple individuals at the pool during this time for a party.
