Reno, NV-Driver Arrested for Fatal Bicycle on Lakeside Dr. & Moana Ln.

Reno, Nevada (April 20, 2019) – Authorities reported that a fatal bike accident occurred in Reno on Friday night

Police have identified the cyclist killed in the crash as Deven Dyer Hickingbotham, 63. Hickingbotham died at 10:30 p.m. on Friday, April 19th at a Reno hospital hours after the crash.  

Deven Dyer Hickingbotham was struck by a car while riding on his bicycle on Friday afternoon in the intersection of  Lakeside Drive and Moana Lane.  

Authorities arrested Eric Michael Cross, 38, because he did not yield a left turn and police suspected he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.  Eric Michael Cross was driving on a revoked license.

The accident took place at 4:20 p.m. when they found the victim unconscious in the street. Police then took the victim to a nearby Reno Hospital.

Police are asking for anyone who may have been a witness to call investigators at 775-334-2141.
