Reno, NV – 2 Middle School Students Injured In Pedestrian Crash On 9th St
Reno, NV (August 23, 2019)
According to officials from the Reno Police Department, a girl sustained critical injuries after being struck by a car in Reno, and a young boy was also injured. The crash happened in the early morning, and both Traner Middle School students were taken to a local hospital following the crash at around 7:15 a.m. Both injured parties are believed to be 12 years of age.
Both victims were using a designated crosswalk when they were struck by a vehicle traveling east on 9th St. Police reports indicated that all involved parties cooperated with the investigation, and it is not believed that intoxication was a factor in the crash. The roadway was closed following the crash until near 11:00 a.m.
An investigation is ongoing into the cause of the accident. Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
